LANDLORD TENANT LAW

Abdou Law Offices, LLC has the proper experience to approach landlord-tenant matters with the diligence and thoughtfulness necessary to be effective at the lease drafting phase, and if need be, at the litigation level.  We actively represent clients throughout New Jersey, particularly in Bergen County, Passaic County, Morris County, Hudson County, Essex County, Middlesex County, Monmouth County, Union County, Ocean County, Mercer County, Burlington County, Hunterdon County, and Warren County.

LEASE NEGOTIATION/DRAFTING

Essentially, as a result of our many years of litigation experience, we know exactly what to do and what not to do with respect to the drafting of a residential or commercial lease agreement.  As such, whenever we have represented clients for the purposes of lease drafting, we have successfully included terms in the lease agreements that have always been beneficial to our clients, regardless if they were a landlord or a tenant.

Abdou Law Offices, LLC has vast experience in commercial lease negotiation and drafting as we have represented clients engaged in a variety of businesses ranging from various types of medical professionals and doctors, bakeries, hair salons, and automobile dealers.  No matter whether you are a commercial landlord or a business owner looking to be a tenant, we are well versed in both landlord-tenant law and fundamental principles of contract drafting so that we may properly represent your interests in the drafting stage of your particular lease agreement.

Likewise, we frequently represent clients with respect to drafting and/or reviewing residential leases. Although residential leases usually last one (1) year, it is important for our clients, either landlord or tenant, to have a lease agreement that they fully understand and that properly represents their interests during the tenancy.

LANDLORD/TENANT LITIGATION

Unfortunately, even with the best lease agreements, disputes do arise in the context of the landlord-tenant relationship.  As such, Abdou Law Offices, LLC has vast experience in handling such landlord-tenant court matters always to the benefit of our clients.  Whether you are commercial landlord or a commercial tenant, you have certain rights that can be enforced within a court of law.  Abdou Law Offices, LLC knows how to enforce those rights and vigorously represents our client’s interests in landlord-tenant court.  If there is monies owed pursuant to a commercial lease, Abdou Law Offices, LLC knows how to vigorously enforce the monetary terms of a lease contract using our years of experience in complex commercial litigation.

With respect to residential landlord-tenant eviction actions, we know exactly what a landlord can and cannot do with respect to eviction proceedings in landlord-tenant court.  As a result, many residential landlords use our firm to properly navigate the often counterintuitive process for eviction of residential tenants.  Similarly, we have represented many residential tenants who have the misfortune of dealing with a landlord that does not properly understand or apply landlord/tenant law.  Either way, Abdou Law Offices, LLC understands the law, and knows how to best serve our clients.
