Purchasing a home is one of the biggest investments that you will ever make throughout your lifetime.

A closing is the when a real estate transaction is consummated wherein the Buyers, if they have a mortgage, will execute all of the relevant loan documents, such as the Note, Mortgage, Closing Disclosure and combined American Land Title Association (ALTA) statement that details the financial information in the transaction.
At the closing, the attorneys with the title and settlement agent will make sure that there exists no substantial issue pertaining to the transfer of “good and marketable” title. Finally, at a closing the Sellers convey the signed Deed and Affidavit of Title, among other documents, to complete the closing. It all ends when the Buyers get their keys and the Sellers receive their earnings from the property sale.
